| Purpose of Job: |
The product architect will be part of the development team working on
highly visible enterprise wide card management projects whilst also
providing the technical leadership to a team of developers.

Duties & Responsibilities:
1.
Own the technical vision for the
product and projects and define the technical direction to
meet:
·
Business drivers: market trends,
customer’s feedback and requirements.
·
Technical drivers: technology
trends, best practices, and de facto standards.
2.
Support the Full Software
Development Life Cycle, working closely with:
·
Sales during pre-sales efforts.
·
Customers and project managers
during discovery and requirements gathering, and managing
technical expectations.
·
Senior Developers during project
design and implementation stages, providing mentoring and
technical leadership.
·
Hardware and network specialists
during definition design and test performance, scalability,
reliability and security requirements.
3.
Ensure overall integrity of product
based solutions:
·
System requirements are successfully
satisfied by architectural efforts.
·
Features are developed in a product
centric way and solutions fit the product path and overall
architecture.
·
Migration strategy is specified to
support transition from existing systems to future systems.
4.
Maintain relevant documentation to
company standards (use of UML where appropriate for use
cases, sequences diagram, etc…).
Candidate Requirements:
1.
7+ years experience in the
development and implementation of software applications.
2.
Experience leading technical teams.
3.
Hands-on experience of Web Services,
Java, Spring, Corba, Oracle, AJAX, JavaScript, XML, HTTP,
HTML.
4.
Working knowledge of SOA and UML.
5.
Excellent communication skills and a
proven ability to work to tight deadlines.
6.
A degree or equivalent in software
development, engineering or related discipline.
Other Desireable Role
Experience Required:
1.
Multi-Platform
Knowledge including Windows, Unix and Oracle platforms.
2.
Quality awareness, promoting the
industry ‘best practices’ and adhering to the company quality
program.
3.
Experience of smart card technology
and experience in delivering solutions where systems
integration and 3rd party product integration are
integral to project success.
Remuneration:
- Competitive salary
(circa €55K) including benefits Health Cover, Pension
contribution.
